Doctor Groom

Doctor Mimi Groom earned her degree of Medical Doctor from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1989. Her specialized training in Ophthalmology included residency at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York City. Dr. Groom then chose to perform an additional year of intensive Glaucoma training at New York Eye and Ear resulting in her being one the few Fellowship trained glaucoma specialists in the area.

Dr. Groom began her professional career with a position with the Cleveland Clinic's department of Ophthalmology located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. After years of service to the department, Dr. Groom created Groom Eye Center in Naples Florida, a private Ophthalmology practice dedicated to serving those with diagnosed vision conditions including glaucoma, cataracts, and disorders of the optic nerve.

Dr. Groom is a fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a board certified health provider in the State of Florida.
